Tasks and responsibilities:

(i)                  Active participation in the activities of ‘natural resources monitoring group’ of SPARRSO,

(ii)                Involve with various research and development (R&D) works,

(iii)               Planning for necessary ground truth (field verification) data collection, compilation and analysis for R&D works,

(iv)              Presentation of research results in technical session and discussion for comments and recommendation,

(v)                Report writing for completed R&D works and formulation of new R&D works

(vi)              Crop monitoring (acreage & yield estimation and forecasting) using remote sensing and GIS techniques and provides regular/routine information to the Ministry of Food and Disaster Management, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh.

(vii)             Working as Co-supervisor of the students from different universities of Bangladesh, who come to SPARRSO for their final year/term/semester research project/dissertation,

(viii)           Working as an Instructor/Tutor of the students from different polytechnic institutes of Bangladesh who come to SPARRSO for their industrial attachment training,

(ix)              Representing the divisional heads meeting of SPARRSO for planning and development,

(x)                Any other duty assigned by the authority from time to time.
